About Us

“Our passion, teamwork and commitment to continually improve drives everything we do.”

Eventmaker was borne from a passion for sport. In 1999 Managing Director Kevin Newton was operating a marquee manufacture and hire company based in Mansfield. Kevin was invited to attend a British Superbike event by close friend and Superbike rider Steve Plater. Whilst enjoying the racing and hospitality, Kevin realised that with the skills, equipment and contacts that he had, he could combine his passion for sport with a business to provide corporate hospitality for such events.

In 2000, Eventmaker provided its first hospitality unit in the British Superbike paddock. Since then, the company has worked with a large number of teams including high profile Superbike teams such as Rizla Suzuki and NW200 Ducati as well as event organisers MCRCB and individual circuits. The products and  services we provide are continually evolving.

In 2003, Kevin set up UK1 Racing – a British GP125 team with two aims. Firstly, to help promote Eventmaker and secondly to assist young British riders in reaching world class competition. Over the years, the team has received support from racing legends such as Ron Haslam and Niall Mackenzie who remains a close friend. The team took a British title in 2004 and two former riders Kev Coghlan and Danny Webb are now competing successfully in world series events.

Our passion for sport is still strong but over the last 10 years, our work in British Superbikes has enabled us to move into different areas of corporate hospitality including exhibitions and shows.

Kevin’s wife and business partner Bridget joined the company in 2003. Like Kevin, Bridget fulfils many roles within the company both in the office and on site. She handles all of the office administration and accounts and, having owned her own catering business, is equally at home on-site overseeing staff and catering operations.

The latest addition to Eventmaker is Ralph Newton. Ralph works closely with Bridget in the office and may be tasked to chase overdue accounts if necessary!!
