2009 saw Eventmaker expand operations into new markets which included hospitality at British Touring Car and British Cycling events.

Knockhill VIP Hospitality Suite.

Eventmaker were contracted to provide a complete hospitality for the British Superbike event held in July at the Knockhill racing circuit in Fife, Scotland. The package consisted of the hire of two of Eventmaker’s hospitality trailers, race day catering and staff for 200 VIP guests.

The event was such a resounding success for the client that Eventmaker were contracted to provide the same facilities for the British Touring Car event in August.

Once again the client received great feedback and we are now in talks to return for similar events in the 2010.

Tour Series

Eventmaker were contracted to provide corporate hospitality for a brand new city centre cycling event that was held during the months of May and June. Eventmaker was contracted to provide corporate hospitality for 120 VIP guests at each of the 10 locations. The Tour Series saw Eventmaker siting their articulated Event Lounge trailer in city centre locations across England. The unit then catered for staff through the day and VIP guests in the evening.

Eventmaker received some very positive feedback from the Tour Series and this resulted in Eventmaker being awarded the hospitality contract for the Tour of Britain cycling race.

Tour of Britain

September saw Eventmaker supply two articulated trailers for the 8 day cycling Tour of Britain. This was a logistically challenging event as the Tour moves to a different location around the UK each day, the final event taking place on the picturesque Victoria embankment in London.

The eventlounge trailer and awning was used to provide VIP hospitality for 150 guests at the finish line of each stage. On the London stage, two VIP units were installed to cater for 450 guests. As well as providing VIP hospitality, Eventmaker catered for all of the Technical Crew at each location. In addition, Eventmaker’s glass building trailer was used throughout the Tour to provide a work area for all of the travelling media with an unrivalled view of the stage finish line available from the upper deck of the trailer.

The Tour Series and Tour of Britain were both a huge success for the client and Eventmaker. Both look set to return on a larger scale in 2010 and Eventmaker hope to be involved again.
